Why Systematic Kinesiology?

REBALANCING IS ESSENTIAL
Energy flows more efficiently, toxins are eliminated, stress is reduced to calmness and emotional blockages are released.

WHY MEDICATION IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER
Modern medication is amazing but often we can experience negative side effects which can contribute to our physical and emotional well-being, hence a change in mood swings, feeling nauseous or just feeling 'off form'.  Unfortunately, masking our emotions can become a common trait, therefore we can create new ones such as guilt, blame or even anger towards others.

Giving the responsibility of your health away can lead to deeper issues.  Seeing a Kinesiologist will help you release blockages and breaking negative cycles that we may not even be aware of, therefore you're taking responsibility and regaining your own power.

WHY CLIENTS COME FOR TREATMENT
Diseases can develop from many years of neglect, carrying 'personal' baggage and dealing with emotional upsets.  Ignoring the symptoms and masking them with painkillers can lead to deeper illnesses.  Our bodies work in a similar, systematic manner to an engine light of a car dashboard, ie. these lights are not ignored when indicating somethings wrong, so we source the problem and get the car fixed.  Why should we treat our bodies any differently?

SYSTEMATIC KINESIOLOGY IS SAFE
Systematic Kinesiology is non-invasive, safe and uses precise muscle testing to find the problem area.  Kinesiology suits everyone from babies to the elderly and gets to the root of the pain, discomfort or issues that you may be experiencing, therefore and not just dealing with the symptoms.  Kinesiology can be used as a complementary therapy alongside your current treatment or medication.

Seven signs to watch
Disease can develop after many years of neglect if enough things have happened.  Neglecting minor signs such as carrying personal baggage and dealing with emotional upsets can begin to lead to ill health.

Symptoms are our friends
It's the only way our bodies can communicate something is wrong to us.

1.
Imbalances
Tripping over, eating the wrong foods, having an argument, rushing your day etc. may seem like minor details or imbalance.  However, if continuously ignored on a daily basis, they can begin to accumulate, leading to compensations.
2.
Compensations
When imbalances accumulate, the body needs to compensate.  Unlikely that these will cause serious problems, perhaps feeling a little 'under par' with mild, vague symptoms can lead to functional changes.
3.
Functional Changes
Discomfort and pain are present, often shrugged off in the hope they'll 'just go away'.  Symptoms such as indigestion, bad skin, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, backache may be experienced. Painkillers consumed, signs of debilitating symptoms arise.  Some diseases only show when they are very advanced.
4.
Persistent problems
Gradually, persistent problems get worse and increase with severity.  You can still live with it and feel that maybe 'next week' you can source some help, if the pain remains of course.
5.
Treating the symptom
By law, modern advertising for 'over the counter' medication only offers relief and is not permitted to offer a cure, for the symptom.  Pills, lotions and potions are offered freely to make the pain go away.  Subject to this way of thinking, rarely does one then take responsibility or make  lifestyle changes that are suggested and acceptable.
6.
Pathological changes
Where there are many imbalances and changes within the blood, this is called disease.  Often this is not shown in the blood until the problem is deeply rooted.  Not all, but most diseases cause great pain and distress in their advanced stages.

7.
Terminal illness
Or worse.

THE BODY KNOWS WHEN IT IS READY TO BE FIXED

The history of Systematic Kinesiology

Applied or Systematic Kinesiology, as known in the UK,  is a relatively new science that developed from methods used by physical therapists to determine muscle function.

Medical science has traditionally used muscle response testing to assess certain bodily functions.  A light is shone into the eye so we may observe the way in which the iris responds to the stimulus.  In a knee jerk test, the leg is struck with a rubber hammer just below the patella to determine if there is a normal reflex action.  Kinesiology is a method to testing muscle to determine how well they function.

In 1964, Dr George Goodheart DC, an eminent chiropractor in the USA developed and expanded the use of the Kinesiology tests which have been and continue to be researched, tested clinically and carefully investigated by thousands of clinicians all over the world.

Dr Goodheart's willingness to share his discoveries has led many forward looking practitioners to investigate these new methods.  This new science provides a non-intrusive method of assessing the function of various systems in the body.  Using the way a muscle responds to read the function of the lymphatic system, the vascular system, the digestive system and other physiological functions can now be used to assess balance within the body.

These tests reveal information about many of the intricacies of physiology which wre previously unknown and unrecognised.

Muscle testing reveals systemic, structural and biochemical imbalances which can be rectified with many different techniques.  Techniques and conceps from the world of Chiropractic have been blended with ancient oriental knowledge of acupuncture and the flow of energy in the body.

Discoveries such as the lymphatic reflexes by the famous osteopath Chapman, and the studies of the vascular system of the body made by Bennet, a chiropractor, have made vital contributions to the better understanding of physiology in action.  Kinesiology is a very effective tool which combines very well with every form of health care.

My father, Brian Butler trained in Applied Kinesiology in the USA and introduced the science to the UK with the founders permission and renamed it Systematic Kinesiology.  He named it this way since we are able to look at the body in a systematic and thorough way.  He continued to practice for over 30 years before retirement, while setting up The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology in order to help people and teach all over Europe - spreading the word to thousands about this amazing therapy.
